[ DC 104 ] At 14:10, soon after the Wagon Wheel power shuts off
( ooc: Group thread encrypted to all specials (threadjacking encouraged). )
Power in the Wagon Wheel just shut off completely.
I'm not sure what's going on.
IntSec is freaking out right now.
[ Oh, of course, she should also mention: ]
I'm okay for now, I think. Maybe. But it's starting to get loud in the hall.
No one can get in or out of any of the doors.
Help.
[ Felicity's on the 17th floor of the Wagon Wheel, since she actually got assigned to work for IntSec. Maybe it was lucky, since IntSec, given their jobs, was one of the more protected floors. ]

Only faintly. It must not be close to me. Are your doors like ours? Lockpad access only?
no subject
But yeah, lockpad access only. The thing I'm worried about is...whoever took out the power could be working on shutting off the security systems — like the door locks — as we speak.
( Which is actually a terrifying thought now that she's put it out there and forced herself to face the reality of said possibility. ...shit. )

If your doors are controlled by the power, they default to locked. Without backup generators, they should stay that way unless someone specifically re-routes power to YOUR door.
It's stupid, but if you're in IntSec with me, we're probably in the safest place in the Wagon Wheel right now.

( No she's not. )
I'm just saying. I've been here a while and something like that wouldn't surprise me at all.

Maybe you could barricade the door. Just to be safe.
...
(Also who is that guy? Is the Armed Forces like the Army?)

( On second thought, no. Screw this. She's been a sitting duck once and she's not going to do it again. She sure as hell isn't dragging Barry down with her by sitting on her ass when there's something she can do. Self-igniting Molotov cocktail, anyone? )

[ Why does she have a bad feeling about that little ellipsis at the end of Lydia's last message? ]
no subject
( Yeah. So. ...that's happening. )

[ If she hears an explosion later, she's going to be texting you Lydia. ]

There was limited intel that a group of traitors were inciting riots and attempting to break into certain floors, harming people along the way. That's when Steve decided the Very Special Forces needed to get involved. He was gearing up now, along with anyone who reported to him. ]
Lydia. Armed Forces is on its way. Is Barry there with you?
no subject
Okay. Yeah, he's here.
( She doesn't, intentionally, share the fact that she's considering blowing their door open with a makeshift explosive. She knows how to make them. It's a thought that's waffling through her mind, she just hasn't decided whether it'll be better or worse to be outside, even if she thinks the sound of the explosion would be something of a deterrent to others considering making their way toward the forensic lab. )
I'll see you soon then. It'll be fine.
( ...right…? )
the rest I think will come via the Steve/Buffy log coming to the 17th floor
[ At least she's not alone. And Steve trusts Barry. ]
I'll see you soon.
sounds good!
