I don't think it's escaped anyone's notice that things are getting more violent of late, but we can't walk in groups all the time and I strongly suspect someone would notice if I carried around a sword, which is the only weapon I really know how to use.

So I've been thinking and wondering if anyone - who is not Steve because I doubt he'd hit me - would be willing to teach me some hand to hand?

I'm sure I'm not the only one who could use a little help in one department or the other, perhaps we could have some sparring sessions at HQ if people are interested? Basically, anything to aid in less of us getting shot or collapsing on live TV. Or being stabbed in some back corridor which I've gotten the impression a few of my friends think will happen to me because I walk alone at night.

Not a complaint, but is there anything you can't do? I will certainly take you up on that offer.

I'm not very good at archery? It's more my brother's thing. And outside of makeup, fashion, and hair I'm not the most artistic?

Arthur liked a crossbow, I'm not sure if he was any good with an actual bow. I haven't tried one in years, they're a lot harder to hide in your dress.

...in my dresses, I don't imagine your dresses hide many weapons.

So you're only close to perfect, I guess that's better than nothing.

I'm sure Alec would be fine with one. I like to stick with swords, whips, staffs, or work with what I've got--my hands.

You'd be surprised what I can actually hide wearing the dresses I wear. My favorite weapon back home I wore as a bracelet when I wasn't fighting with it, though. It's an angelic weapon, though.

We haven't delved into my other issues. Trust me, I'm a genius and I can fight but I promise underneath the fabulous facade I'm not perfect.

Whips?

[Give her a moment, she needs a moment to get over the fact that her friend, the half angel, also uses whips.]

A weapon you wore like a bracelet? That's a good idea. Pity you don't have it here, it could be useful. [Wait, how many weapons were there that could even be worn like that? Did that mean the whip? But whips were bigger than that... and an angelic whip?!

The rest is forgotten for the moment as she tries to navigate that thought.]

Whops. I'm really good with them and they're actually really versatile.

It's a sort of magic, and I miss it, but I shouldn't pout over what I can't have here. Even though it's tempting.

Between our friends I'm pretty sure someone here could make a non-angelic whip if you wanted one.

For a Computer who seemingly wants us to just quietly muddle along, it brought a lot of weapons experts.

Might have to talk to someone about that. Pipes do in a pinch, but I do prefer a whip.

Friend computer brought a lot of different people who don't fit the 'quietly muddle along' category from what I gather. Either it's an attempt to tame us or a purposeful decision.

I somehow doubt we'll get the answer, though.

I mean, the computer brought me here, made me or whatever the going story is and I committed treason willfully and frequently back home...

One thing I've gathered about the people here is we all seem to have at least a little rebel in us.

It's part of the reason I wonder, sometimes, if Friend Computer wants to tame us, actually. I'm no stranger to breaking the rules myself, personally.

That or it secretly wants to get overthrown. Some seem to enjoy that sort of thing.
