I don't think it's escaped anyone's notice that things are getting more violent of late, but we can't walk in groups all the time and I strongly suspect someone would notice if I carried around a sword, which is the only weapon I really know how to use.

So I've been thinking and wondering if anyone - who is not Steve because I doubt he'd hit me - would be willing to teach me some hand to hand?

I'm sure I'm not the only one who could use a little help in one department or the other, perhaps we could have some sparring sessions at HQ if people are interested? Basically, anything to aid in less of us getting shot or collapsing on live TV. Or being stabbed in some back corridor which I've gotten the impression a few of my friends think will happen to me because I walk alone at night.

I actually have something for you. It's not a sword, because those aren't exactly easy to carry. But it's a dagger, and should be easy to keep hidden on you if you want to carry it around.

Arthur liked a crossbow, I'm not sure if he was any good with an actual bow. I haven't tried one in years, they're a lot harder to hide in your dress.

...in my dresses, I don't imagine your dresses hide many weapons.

I'm sure Alec would be fine with one. I like to stick with swords, whips, staffs, or work with what I've got--my hands.

You'd be surprised what I can actually hide wearing the dresses I wear. My favorite weapon back home I wore as a bracelet when I wasn't fighting with it, though. It's an angelic weapon, though.

We haven't delved into my other issues. Trust me, I'm a genius and I can fight but I promise underneath the fabulous facade I'm not perfect.

I'm not asking them to beat me to a bloody pulp, but I won't have anyone hesitating because I'm a lady. I'm not that delicate.

Besides, lots of moves don't involve hitting but will get you bruised.
