( Admittedly, the delay only has Lydia worrying that maybe the network isn't as secure as they all thought it was, but once she hears the knock, Lydia jumps to her feet to answer it, all but physically dragging Ray inside to shut the door behind him. )

Thought maybe if you got a head start, we could find a way to disable some of the new functionality...like the lie detector.

ray takes the manual without question, flipping the pages arbitrarily. he's unfortunately one of those nerds who usually just ... tosses instructions into the garbage. so ultimately, this looks a bit foreign to him. maybe not as smooth as lydia was hoping for.
