I needguinea pigsvolunteers to try these soaps and perfumes and give me feedback. They're safe, I've already tested that on my own; I'm looking for feedback on the scents and the tactile sensation of them, colors, stuff like that. Basically, I'm looking for a focus group. I'm not paying anyone for this, but the up side is you get to smell better than the rest of the Alphas around here? Please let me know if you're interested.

I also need two or three people who can help with production so that I can get a decent-sized order ready, once QA approves whatever prototypes I send them. This will be starting in probably two days, well last for probably three to five days for a couple of hours in the evening during Citizen Improvement. I can pay 75 credits a day to you. Any takers?

I have kind of a woodsy-based scent, one that smells a lot like a quality Acqua Di Gio knock off, and a clean-scented like shower fresh kind of thing. Pick your poison.

I'm very particular about the cologne I wear, soNot for now. Can I change my mind later? Is it boring if I just say clean-scented? Although, I'm pretty impressed that you were able to do variations on the scents in this place.

No, I need people to test all of them so please, by all means. Don't give me too much credit, I was given supplies and lab space by The Computer to do it. Otherwise, I probably wouldn't have been able to in this place.
no subject
Well, you still deserve to get credit for it, I think.
[encrypted to Lydia]
So... Can I ask you something? And you don't have to answer if you don't want to, I just can't not ask. How did you get the Computer to give you lab space for all that?
no subject
I'll take it, then.
[Encrypted to Tony]
I asked for it. Of course, I had to give the Computer a reason to think it was necessary, but all I did was ask. Honestly.

Hm. Okay, thank you. That's good to know.

Pro-tip: appeal to the things you know The Computer finds important. For soap, I reminded The Computer about how it could boost hygiene, while also giving a morale boost, which keeps people happy. The Computer values hygiene and happiness, and those for my agenda, so I used them.
The Computer is a little crazy but it's still a computer; a machine. It has algorithms. Plug in the right keywords and you're going to get a desired result.

[ Which would be a little hard to sell to the Computer, considering what he wants to work on is weapons and better tech that they could use to protect themselves, but well. He could find a way to spin it, even if the last time he entered what he believed were the right keywords in a computer, he had ended up with an extreme result of what he wanted. ]
I'll start working on my pitch.

I mean, the lab The Computer gave me access to isn't guarded all that well and I have to use it after hours, anyway, so...if you happened to have a gas mask and accidentally broke into it when I wasn't around after 22:00...

Thanks, Lydia.

You're welcome.
( At the end of Lydia's message, the period at the end of the sentence is quite clearly a hyperlink. If Tony taps on it, it'll download a message with the location of her lab and how to best get into it when she's not around — ie, which door is the most easily compromised — which, thirty seconds after being opened, will disappear. The letters will sort of melt away on the screen and any trace of the message will be gone. See, she can learn new things from Root, sometimes. )

I didn't think you would want me to.Figured I'd let you settle in first. How are you doing?ENCRYPTED TO TONY
Settle in? Have you seen this place? This is insanity, Tony.
Even you must see thatI'm alive. Which isn't saying I'm good, but it's saying I could be worse.
You're willing to speak to me, I guess that's a sign that I haven't been put on your blacklist yet.
ENCRYPTED TO NATASHA
Oh, yeah. Trust me, I know that part.
I had a chip installed in my brain and I don'tFor what it's worth, I'm glad you're alive.
Blacklists seem pointless in this place, considering the circumstances. To be honest, I wasn't sure if you'd want to speak with me, either.
ENCRYPTED TO TONY
That's probably the sweetest thing you've ever said to me.
I wasn't sure I'd want to speak to you either, yet here I am.
...I just want everyone to be able to work together, Stark. That's all I care about. It's all I've ever cared about.

What can I say, I have my moments.
Are you fYeah, well. I'm playing nice with Rogers, so you can save the pep talk about being a team etc. I think right now we have bigger fish to fry than the Accords.
ENCRYPTED TO TONY
Don't worry, if anyone asks I'll lie, your reputation is safe.
That's not whatYou don't have to worry about a pep talk, I'm not known for being inspirational. And I know. I'm working on it, but there's a lot of red tape to sneak past.
Where are you?
ENCRYPTED TO NATASHA
Thank you.
...should I ask what you're doing?
Right now? The Commissary.
