[ Hardison's sitting in a deserted stairwell, the laptop he's "borrowed" balanced precariously on his lap. He speaks quickly as if he doesn't have much time, and the truth is he probably doesn't. Wendy's on the warpath today.]

Look, there's something I need to tell you. I probably should've told you before now, but I wasn't sure. [ He takes a deep breath. ] I used to be roommates with Ray Palmer, but after Arty and I got turned over for being traitors I started to think maybe there was something to everyone he knows being targeted for treason. Think about it. How many people have disappeared since he got here?

I wasn't sure until Arty got arrested this morning, though. The last thing Arty told me was that he was going to keep an eye on Ray for me. Tell me if he was acting strange. Does that seem like a coincidence to you? More than that, the guy is dangerous. Under that fake ass smile he's up to something. You know he has bomb parts under his bed right? Took them from one of his missions.

We gotta do something about it. And we need to do it before he turns someone else in. The guy's a mole.

[ Hardison is sporting a black eye and a nasty bruise on the right side of his face. He's also moving and talking slightly slower than he may normally, as if concentrating takes a lot of effort, but his expression is determined and extremely serious as he turns the vid feed on. ]

Hey, I'd talk to you guys about this one on one, but it's difficult with the shadow they assigned me. I've only got a few minutes but here's the deal. This place is insane. And it's getting more insane with every passing day. If we're going to stay alive we need to stick together.

[ He pauses, his eyes flicking up and over the camera. After a second he continues.]

Look, Matt and I are hackers and Dick, you're freaking Robin. Between the three of us, we should be able to set up a network for people we trust to communicate using and altering the encryption codes that the secret socities use. Seems like most of the specials are in the same boat as us, except for--

[ He swallows, his attention being drawn away again.]

Gotta go.

[The feed ends abruptly.]
